You were using it normally your Claro CHIP and out of nowhere you receive a message that says “invalid chip”. At first you are worried and soon think, what should you do in this situation?
The message can appear for three reasons:
- Chip inserted incorrectly;
- Chip provisioning problem;
- Device that cannot read the chip;
If this happens, it is recommended that you first test the chip to make sure it was installed correctly. Sometimes the damage may be due to dirt.
If you prefer, test the chip in another device. But if none of the solutions work, contact Relationship Center at 1052.
Your number may have been cancelled
The loss of your Claro number or the inactivation of your line may occur after a long period without use or maintenance.
This can happen not only with a Claro SIM card. That's why it's important to have a postpaid plan, even if it's the cheapest one offered by the Operator.
Cancellation of Pre
The prepaid line can be cancelled after 180 full days without credit. To put it simply, if you go up to 6 months without making any recharge, your number may be cancelled.
After 90 days have passed since the cancellation date, the number becomes available to another Claro customer.
Postgraduate Cancellation
The cancellation of the postpaid plan can be done voluntarily, which is when the customer makes the request of their own free will, or involuntarily, when the line is canceled by charge.
The bad news is that there is a charge between both periods. If this has happened, in order to have your number and CPF back in the credit system, you will need to complete the payment process. The number to call for debit is 1052.
Questions customers often ask
My postpaid chip was blocked. But why? In most cases this will happen for some serious reason, most commonly due to failure to pay an invoice.
It is worth remembering that Claro wait a long time to cancel the line and then your chip. While some operators wait 3 months for a new payment, Claro gives you a period of up to 6 months.
It is recommended that you contact the Operator and negotiate your pending issue to get your line back.
Can the solution be solved in a physical Claro store?
If you have not yet made the payment, the solution will not be resolved because you are looking for a Claro store.
The store will not be able to reactivate the line or the chip without reestablishing the payment conditions. The operator will be able to help you resolve this situation.
Payments with lower interest installments, is it possible?
It's not just your SIM card and line that can be cut off. For those who don't know, when you stop paying for a service, your CPF becomes dirty and you need to renegotiate your debt. And it's a good idea to think about doing this, because otherwise you won't be able to buy or rent houses, take part in public exams or anything like that.
If Claro understands that you intend to reactivate your line and that your financial conditions allow you to have a plan now, it is possible that a renegotiation will be accepted. You will still pay interest, but you can negotiate for a lower amount and with discounts if you pay the installments in advance. This works like a home loan.
