OpenAI announced a new update for ChatGPT on Monday (25). The artificial intelligence tool is now capable of receiving voice and image commands, as well as responding by speaking to the user. This access is only possible via cell phone. The chatbot's new features will initially be available to users of the paid services ChatGPT Plus and ChatGPT Enterprise.
However, the company said that the update will reach all users over the next two weeks, with the first customers receiving the new features starting today, the 26th. OpenAI also said that, after this period, it will release the use of the new features to developers. The company, however, did not say when the features should reach non-paying users.

The new features of sending commands to ChatGPT, in addition to showing the evolution of AI, should offer more practicality for users, especially the image prompt feature. ChatGPT will be able to identify a photo and assist the user after analyzing the image content. No X, the company published a video of AI explaining how to adjust a bike seat.
ChatGPT asks for a more detailed image of the seat’s mounting point, the tools the user has, and the bike’s manual. In the video, the AI identifies that the seat needs a specific key and that it is in the box – by analyzing the image sent by the user.
The company also showed off the voice and spoken response feature. In the example, the feature has a female voice and, based on the user's voice command, tells a children's story. ChatGPT Plus or Enterprise subscribers can activate the voice feature – if it has already been released – through the app's settings.
