Construction

One notable difference is the new rear, which consists of two finishes. Some are made of metal, others are made of a synthetic material that imitates leather. There is a circular module to house the three rear cameras, very similar to the brand's previous devices.

On the front of the device there is a screen with very thin bezels, but what really catches the eye are the three holes for the front camera. Fortunately, it can be hidden with software to make this area more attractive.

Technical specifications

As for technical specifications, the phone has a 6.82-inch OLED screen with 10-bit depth. In addition, it has a resolution of 2720×1260 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz.

Announcement

The device comes with 12 GB of RAM as standard and internal storage is available in 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB. The processor features a new and unprecedented Kirin 9000, which represents a renewal of Huawei's proprietary platform over the years. The new feature has 12 cores, two Cortex-A34, 6 custom Cortex-A78AE cores and another 4 Cortex-A510, with a maximum speed of 2.62 GHz.

There's also a dedicated graphics card made by Huawei itself called the Maleoon 910. The Kirin 9000s' performance is said to match the Snapdragon 888, the Qualcomm chip used in 2021 flagships.

Cameras

In the three holes at the top of the screen, the Huawei brand It has sensors and lasers for 3D facial recognition, a feature similar to Face ID on the latest iPhones, as well as a 13MP wide-angle selfie camera. On the back of the phone is a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) with variable apertures at f/1.4 and f/4.0, and a 12MP wide-angle sensor at f/2.2. In addition to a third, 48MP telephoto sensor with f/3.0 aperture and OIS.

Battery and speed

The Huawei Mate 60 Pro has a 5000mAh battery that supports 88W wired charging, and 50W and 20W wireless charging.

On the 5G, the phone doesn't actually have the technology. However, users report that it's not missed, as the processor can do wonders in terms of speed. Therefore, it's as if the phone has 5G, even though it doesn't.

Price and Availability

The Huawei Mate 60 Pro smartphone is available for pre-order in black and purple, with a leather-like top and glass in green and white. The 512GB model currently costs 6,999 yuan, which is equivalent to around R$4,660. There is no word on availability outside of China at this time.
