Angelo Sebastião Zanini, coordinator of the Computer Engineering course at the Mauá Institute of Technology (IMT), explains that heat is a natural byproduct of the conversion of energy from the outlet to the cell phone.
If the charger is moderately warm, it is probably working properly, dissipating heat during use. However, the warning light will come on when the heat becomes excessive, indicating possible failures in the equipment or in the phone itself, such as defective parts.
What could be happening? If the charger is extremely hot, this may indicate a defect in the equipment or in some part of the cell phone, such as a short-circuited capacitor, resistor or chip.
And what can this generate? A defect in these parts can expose the charger to excessive electrical current, causing overheating, fires and even explosions.
AND dangerous? Of course, while not usually lethal, overheating can result in serious damage.
Can you improve the device? Certainly, a comfortable device can indicate short-circuited parts, compromising its operation.

How to Avoid Heat Problems

“Water is the enemy of electric current”: Of course, avoid handling the charger with wet hands and do not charge the device in humid places, such as in the bathroom, for example, so that any moisture does not cause a short circuit in the pins, damaging the cell phone or the charger.
Seamless Connection: Make sure to fit the charger correctly into the phone's port, while ensuring the pins are synchronized to avoid short circuits.
Protecting your phone goes beyond choosing where to charge it. Knowing how to identify signs of overheating and taking preventative measures can save your device from serious damage. However, be careful and protect your device!
