THE Has Box, the Federal Government's social services platform, recently released the withdrawal of R$ 102 for more than 5.6 million Brazilians.
The measure, which benefits families in situations of social vulnerability, is part of the Auxílio-Gás program, designed to alleviate the costs of cooking gas, essential for preparing food.
The amount can be accumulated with other Caixa Tem benefits, such as Bolsa Família and the Continuous Benefit Payment (BPC), increasing the positive impact on the income of the neediest families.
How to join the payment list in the Caixa app
The Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, Family and Fight Against Hunger (MDS) announced that the total investment for this round of payments at Caixa reaches R$575.59 million. According to the MDS, more than 5.64 million families will be covered, reinforcing the government's commitment to supporting the most vulnerable segments of the population.
Data reveals that of the total beneficiaries, 58.2% are women. In addition, the MDS highlighted that 89.8% of the families served are headed by women, which corresponds to approximately 5.06 million families.
This data highlights the importance of public policies aimed at gender equality, since many of these women are primarily responsible for providing for their households.
The Gas Aid, popularly known as “Vale-Gás”, is released by the MDS every two months on the Caixa Tem app. The amount of R$ 102 is specifically intended for the purchase of a 13 kg cooking gas cylinder, an essential item for most Brazilian families.
The last benefit payment was made in June, and this new round of deposits began last Monday, August 19, following the calendar established according to the final digit of the Social Identification Number (NIS).
the largest number of recipients are here
The Northeast region of Brazil, historically one of the most needy in the country, leads the number of beneficiaries of the Gas Aid. In total, 2.61 million families in the Northeast are being covered in this phase, representing an investment of R$1.4T 267 million.
This regional distribution is significant, as the Northeast is also one of the regions where the cost of cooking gas has the greatest impact on the family budget.
To be eligible for the Gas Aid from Caixa, the family must be registered in the Single Registry for Social Programs of the Federal Government (CadÚnico). In addition, the per capita family income cannot exceed half the minimum wage, which is currently equivalent to R$$ 660.
The rules were established to ensure that the benefit reaches those who really need it, prioritizing families in the most vulnerable situations.

Auxílio-Gás is one of several initiatives by the Federal Government to mitigate the impacts of the economic and social crisis that affects millions of Brazilians.
By guaranteeing access to cooking gas, the program ensures that families can prepare their food, a basic need that, without proper support, can become inaccessible for many.
The Ministry of Development and Social Welfare constantly evaluates the effectiveness of the program and has worked to expand the number of beneficiaries.
With the economy still recovering, initiatives such as Auxílio-Gás are essential to guarantee food security and dignity for families living in extreme poverty.
The continuation of Auxílio-Gás is seen as a fundamental step towards reducing social inequalities in Brazil, especially in regions where the cost of living is high and resources are scarce.
The government's commitment to maintaining and expanding this type of assistance will be crucial to the well-being of millions of Brazilians in the coming months.
In short, the release of the R$ 102 withdrawal by Caixa Tem is yet another significant effort by the Federal Government to support the most vulnerable families, ensuring that they can meet a basic need, such as access to cooking gas.
