The Galaxy Lock is associated with an IMEI (short for International Mobile Equipment Identity), a type of “ID” that identifies each device. You can add up to 10 licenses (for cell phones) linked to just one CPF or CNPJ.

In a statement, Samsung said it would offer two years free to anyone who buys a premium device from the brand. These are the Z Fold 3 5G, Z Fold 4 5G, Z Flip 4 5G, S21 FE 5G, S22 5G, S22+ 5G, S22 Ultra 5G, S23 5G, S23+ 5G and S23 Ultra 5G.

After registering with the service, you can block cell phones remotely via phone call. With the steps below:

  • Enter option 3.
  • When signing up, enter your registered CPF or CNPJ number and password.

According to the company, the service operates 24 hours a day and the phone can also be blocked through the official website.

If you don't subscribe to the feature, know that there are other alternatives to track and block an Android phone stolen or lost. And best of all, it's free. For example, Google offers “Find My Device” for free through the following link: google.com/android/find

In addition to smartphones with the Android operating system, the service can detect smartwatches, headphones and tablets, if they are compatible with the system.

Additionally, Samsung itself also offers the Smartthings Find service for free to track lost branded devices.

Now that you know the paid and free ways to lock your phone, in cases of theft and loss, be sure to put the tips into practice. Use the services mentioned to avoid taking risks if you find yourself in these situations.
