New AI arrives on the Brazilian market. Find out more!

Artificial intelligence technology is increasingly present in people's daily lives around the world. It includes image editors, text proofreaders, and even video creators. The functionalities that AIs provide are diverse. One of the most famous at the moment, called Chat GPT, for example, presents itself as a language and research tool that simulates human interaction, but it is much more than that.

In addition to the current darling, new chatbots, as they are called, are coming with everything to compete with Chat GPT. One of the most promising, which recently arrived in Brazil, is Google's new tool: Bard. To learn more about this AI, continue reading the text.

New artificial intelligence

Five months after its global launch, Google's intelligent chatbot Bard arrived in Brazil this Thursday, the 13th, with messages available in Portuguese and 40 other languages.

The tool has been eagerly awaited since the beginning of this year by users of ChatGPT, OpenAI and Microsoft's Bing, other AIs.

Bard, another artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot, plans to act like its competitors. In other words, it uses extensive language models (LLMs) to generate answers from your questions and thoughts. This model works with word prediction to generate a sequence of sentences based on a probabilistic analysis of the results. The idea is to get the words as close to their logical meaning as possible.

The application describes itself as “a large language model, also known as a conversational AI or chatbot, trained to be informative and comprehensive. Also trained on a huge amount of text data and capable of communicating and generating human-like text.”

How to use?

To use the new model, simply go to bard.google.com. After that, you will need to log in to your Google account, as well as Gmail and Google Chrome. Once you have signed up, go to the chatbot website and enter your question, topic or image in the search bar. This tool is already available on mobile devices and in the web version through the web address provided.

Additionally, you can also select various characteristics of the response to guide your decision more accurately. The user can choose options such as long, short or detailed responses (however, this feature is only available in English at the moment). Another point is that, similar to Google Translate, the tool also has the possibility to listen to the generated response.

Starting this Thursday, responses can be shared on social media, and the questions will be recorded on the platform, in the same way as on ChatGPT. This tool is part of a global launch for all countries where Bard is already available.

That said, even though Bard's Brazilian launch comes five months after Google introduced AI to compete with intelligent chatbots, it still creates a lot of expectations for those who use this type of tool for work or study. It is worth remembering that the tool was announced globally in May, at the company's main event of the year, Google I/O.
