The Individual Microentrepreneur (MEI) application was recently updated, bringing a new feature that promises to make life easier for microentrepreneurs across Brazil.
Version 4.2.0 of the app, available for devices Android and iOS, now allows users to check pending items and settle debts in a simplified manner, issuing a single Simples Nacional Collection Document (DAS) directly through the application.
This update aims to optimize the tax regularization process, offering greater practicality and security.
New functionality for checking pending items and debts
With the update, individual microentrepreneurs can check, in just a few clicks, whether there are any debts or pending issues related to their CNPJ.
This consultation covers everything from the submission of the Annual Declaration of the Simples Nacional for the Individual Microentrepreneur (DASN-SIMEI) to possible debts with the Federal Revenue Service. The DASN-SIMEI is a mandatory document that must be submitted annually, declaring the revenue from the previous year.
If the declaration is made late, the MEI will be subject to the payment of a fine, which can be paid together with the invoice generated at the time of transmission of the declaration.
Issuance of a single DAS MEI to settle debts
In addition to allowing you to check pending payments, the MEI application offers the possibility of issuing a single DAS, which groups all pending debts into a single payment document.
This feature is especially useful for micro-entrepreneurs who need to regularize their tax situation, but find it difficult to manage multiple payment slips.
With the single DAS, the entire process is centralized and simplified, allowing debts to be paid off quickly and safely.

To use these new features, users must be logged in with their Gov.br account. Using this platform ensures the security and privacy of information, since Gov.br is the federal government's official portal for accessing various digital services.
Authentication via Gov.br It is an important step to protect the microentrepreneur's data and avoid possible fraud, ensuring that only the account holder can carry out queries and financial transactions.
Additional benefits and fraud security
In addition to the new consultation and payment tools, the MEI app continues to offer all the features already known to users. Among them is the possibility of issuing monthly payment guides, checking the registration status of the CNPJ, and accessing important information about your business.
These features make the app an indispensable tool for the daily management of microentrepreneurs, facilitating compliance with tax obligations and maintaining business regularity.
Another important aspect of using the MEI app is protection against fraud, especially against phishing attacks. This type of scam is quite common on the internet, where criminals pretend to be official institutions to trick users into paying fake bills.
By centralizing operations in the official app, microentrepreneurs avoid the risk of falling into traps, ensuring that all payments are made securely and directly to the government.
THE MEI application is available for free download in the app stores for Android and iOS devices. However, the features can also be accessed through the Entrepreneur Portal, on the Gov.br website, offering an alternative for those who prefer to use the computer to manage their tax obligations.
The adoption of the app and its new features represents an important step in the digitalization of services aimed at microentrepreneurs. This modernization not only makes the daily lives of small business owners easier, but also contributes to the formalization and sustainable growth of the sector.
With the ability to check pending items and settle debts quickly and conveniently, microentrepreneurs have more time to focus on developing their businesses, knowing that their tax obligations are up to date.
