How to post from your cell phone

  1. Open the application from YouTube and click on the + icon, located in the menu;
  2. When you open a new menu, the options “Create” to use the camera to record; “Upload video” to upload a file from the device; “Start Streaming” to start a live video, and “Create Post” to make posts in the community appear. Choose the “Upload video” option;
  3. Grant permissions so that the application can access your files;
  4. When opening the gallery, choose the video you want to publish;
  5. At this point you will be able to reduce and choose a starting point for the video. When you have adjusted, click “Next”;
  6. Then a page will open for editing the video, where you can include texts, filters, music and more;
  7. Next, you will need to include the video information, such as title, privacy, and more. After that, click “Upload Video”.

How to post from computer

  1. Go to the YouTube website, log in to your account and click on the camera icon on the right side of the screen, and choose the “Upload video” option;
  2. At this step you can select a file or drag to add the video you want to publish;
  3. While the file is uploading, the platform will open a page where you need to fill in important information. In “Details” you can include the “Title”, “Description” and other data. When filling in, click “Next”;
  4. In the “Visibility” section, you must choose whether the video will be private or public. Fill in the information and click “Save”;
  5. The platform will open a box that shows the video's loading progress. If you want, you can close it without pausing the loading;
  6. When you close the app, YouTube will open a content page. There, you can see the upload percentage and edit videos that have already been published. You can also see information about engagement, performance, comments, and more.

YouTube's upload tool for computers is more complete than the option for mobile phones. On a computer, users have access to more tools than on a mobile phone. Therefore, publishing videos via the desktop version may be better for more demanding users who want access to more options.
