Creating a QR Code with the Canva app, available for Android and iPhone (iOS), is simple and can be very useful. The code can be used in digital or printed art, and can also be redirected to any web link. To do this, simply insert the URL when creating the design.
With this feature, you don't need to generate QR codes on other platforms and then upload them to the editing app. This way, all actions can be performed in one place, making the process easier. It is worth noting that at the end of the creation process, the file can be downloaded for free in several formats, such as JPG, PNG or PDF. How to Create QR Codes in Canva
- Step 1. On the home page of Canva app, tap the menu located in the upper left corner of the screen. Then select the “Applications” section.
- Step 2. Tap “Apps” again. Under the “Trending Apps” tab, select “Dynamic QR Codes.”
- Step 3. Select one of the options: “Use in existing project” or “Use in new project” – in the tutorial, the option “Use in existing project” was selected. On the next page, navigate to the “Your Projects” folder.
- Step 4. Choose your desired design, then choose a “template” for your QR code – Canva offers a variety of code options.
- Step 5. In the “Link” section, enter the URL to access via QR code. Then press the “Add to design” button and position the code as desired. Finally, upload the file at the top of the screen.

How to use Canva on your mobile?
- Step 1. Install the Canva app on your phone. When you open it for the first time, you’ll need to log in to your account or create a free subscription.
- Step 2. On the home screen, you'll see a collection of available templates. Use the categories at the top of the screen or search to find the template you want, then tap it to edit.
- Step 3. By tapping on the text, you can change the font, alignment, color, and spacing. Use the buttons that appear around the text to rotate or resize the box. If you want to edit a sentence, just double-tap it.
- Step 4. To change your wallpaper, tap on the wallpaper. You can choose a photo saved on your phone, use a file from your Canva library, or use a solid color. Any changes must be undone by clicking the left arrow icon at the top of the screen.
- Step 5. You can edit other objects in the same way: just click on the image to see the available options. At the bottom of the screen you can change the color and transparency. Use the buttons at the bottom of the selection rectangle to zoom in or out. The circular button allows you to rotate the object.
- Step 6. If you want to add new elements – such as a text field, object, page or logo – tap the “+” button in the bottom right corner of the screen.
- Step 7. Once done, tap “Share” in the top right corner of the screen and select the format in which you want to export the file. Finally, you can save the image to your gallery or share it on social media or messengers.
