Company promises new chatbots in the coming months. See more.
The creation of artificial intelligence is in full swing. After the arrival of Chat GPT, Google's Bard and WhatsApp's LuzIA, news of new chatbots is increasing more and more.
This time, the owner of Instagram and Facebook, Meta, is the focus. The company intends to enter the world of AI in the coming months, with major technological advances in its social networks. To understand better, continue reading.

Variety of AIs
Meta plans to launch not one, but a series of chatbots powered by artificial intelligence (AI). According to the Financial Times, they will arrive in September with their own personalities. The company's idea is to make available a chatbot that can hold a conversation with its users. The novelty aims to increase Meta's engagement on social platforms, said a source heard by the portal.
The virtual bots are also intended to provide new search and recommendation capabilities. One of the bots is reportedly a virtual navigator that will tell you your travel itinerary. The news comes Tuesday, Aug. 1, as Meta executives focus on increasing user retention, especially on Twitter’s (or X’s) newest competitor, Threads. The network has already lost more than half of its customers in the weeks since its July launch.
Parent company Facebook, on the other hand, reported significant growth in ad revenue last week and expects third-quarter earnings to be higher than expected. Meta’s latest quarterly report also shows that Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger (and now Threads) are used by 3.8 billion people worldwide. The largest platform is Facebook.
Social media used to be more influential, but it is still very popular, with over 3 billion people using it every month, according to Meta, over 2.064 billion users access the platform every day.
More chatbots in this field
It is worth remembering that other companies, such as Apple, are not silent and continue to develop their own AI chatbots to compete with OpenAi, ChatGPT and Google Bard. The North American company, for example, plans to create its own modeling language, which engineers internally call “Apple GPT“.
The company is experimenting with the use of artificial intelligence on its employees' cell phones and electronic devices in various routine work activities, as revealed by international press channels.
Meta itself has already started to put into practice its plans for personalized AIs for each network with LuzIA. The artificial intelligence tool for WhatsApp is now available on Android and iPhone (iOS) phones. The service offers some interesting features, some of which can also be found in ChatGPT.
