1 – End-to-end encryption
WhatsApp allows users to make their conversations even more secure through end-to-end encryption. It prevents other people from accessing the user's private conversations. To do this, simply open a conversation, click on the person's name and choose the “Encryption” option. After that, WhatsApp will perform a security scan and inform you whether the conversation is protected.
2 – Cancel sending video messages
Recently, WhatsApp released the feature of sending video messages within chats, a feature that is completely different from sending videos via the gallery, which already existed on the platform. However, users who do not want to use the feature can cancel it in a very simple way. Just go to “Settings”, “Chats” and disable the “Media visibility” option.
3 – Remove automatic media downloads
To cancel the automatic download of media such as photos and videos, simply go to “Settings”, “Data storage” and disable the “Automatic media download” option. Just choose the type of media and that’s it.
4 – Two WhatsApp accounts on one cell phone
This is a new feature recently launched by the platform, which allows users to alternate between using two accounts on the same cell phone. To use it, simply go to “Settings”, “Account” and add a new account.

Recently, Whatsapp also launched the Channels, where the user can sign up and receive information, updates, links and more about certain topics, such as movies, football, celebrities, apps and more.
6 – Connect WhatsApp on two devices
It is possible to use the same WhatsApp account on two different phones. To do this, simply open the menu on the first phone and click on “Connected devices” and then click on “Connect a device”. Open the other phone, which is being configured, click on the three dots and on “Associate as a complementary device”, read the QR Code that appears with the first phone and it will be connected.
7 – Become invisible
We can often feel very exposed on social media, since it is possible to see the last time we logged into the app, view our profile picture and other personal information. Fortunately, on WhatsApp it is possible to have a little more privacy and keep some information hidden. To remove your last seen on the app and your online status, simply go to “Settings”, “Privacy” and “Last seen”, click on the “Nobody” and “Even if last seen” options. This will make you invisible on the app.
