The amount offered will be credited to the user's Mercado Pago account, making the purchase easier. However, it is important to remember that only Apple, Samsung and Motorola devices are eligible for quotation. The evaluation of the devices is rigorous, and the amounts offered can vary from R$100 to R$4,000, depending on the model and condition.
A crucial point is the need to select products with the “Exchange Plan” seal in official stores within Mercado Livre, which limits the available options.
2. BuyBack iPlace to change your cell phone
iPlace's BuyBack program is aimed at exchanging iPhones, with the possibility of carrying out the transaction both online and in physical stores. In the online environment, only models from the iPhone SE 2020 onwards are accepted, while in physical stores it is also possible to exchange Samsung and Motorola smartphones, as long as they have the Anatel seal and support the 4G network.
The device's appraisal value is converted into credit for the purchase of new products at iPlace, with the restriction of use in the same store where the appraisal was carried out. One of the highlights of the program is that the customer can continue using their old iPhone until they receive the new one, avoiding being without a cell phone during the exchange process.

Smartphoniza Brasil is Magazine Luiza's initiative to facilitate the exchange of cell phones in physical stores. The program, in partnership with TrocaFone, follows the same model as other circular economy programs, but with the particularity of being valid only for the chain's physical stores.
The value offered for the used device is converted into a discount on the purchase of a new smartphone, and the evaluation is carried out at the time of exchange, allowing the customer to leave the store with the new device in hand.
6. Apple Trade In
Apple offers the Trade In program, which allows you to exchange iPhones, iPads, Macs and Apple Watches for credit towards the purchase of new Apple products. The device is evaluated online, and the estimated value can be used immediately at the Apple Store or for purchases on the official website.
The program is restricted to Apple products, but offers the advantage of ensuring that your old device is recycled responsibly, contributing to sustainability.
