Screen resolution, speed, storage capacity and other features have improved over the years, and it feels like batteries haven't evolved in the same way. However, batteries have improved, their components are better and more durable, but the device's performance and the size and technology of the screen end up consuming more energy.
Old battery technology used nickel-cadmium, which had lower performance and a memory effect. Today, they are made of lithium, which, although not addictive, will naturally wear out if the battery does not complete the entire charging cycle.

1 – Don’t let the battery run down completely
Whenever possible, keep your cell phone battery between 20% and 80% charged. Letting it run down completely is not healthy for the device. Unnecessary and extreme charges increase battery wear. Therefore, avoid recharging when it has a lot of charge.
2 – Keep the system updated
Keep the operating system and updated apps are ideal for making some corrections and fixing bugs that can cause the battery to consume more power. Therefore, doing the updates can help the battery last much longer.
3 – Do not leave your cell phone exposed to high temperatures
Leaving your cell phone exposed to heat can directly interfere with battery consumption, in addition to damaging the device's components. In extreme temperatures, some devices automatically turn off to prevent problems and burns to the user. Therefore, it is ideal to always leave the cell phone at room temperature, also avoiding low temperatures.

When listening to music, choose to use headphones. Audio played on your cell phone increases battery consumption considerably. Battery consumption is proportional to the volume, that is, the louder the sound, the higher the battery drain.

If possible, sometimes put your phone in “airplane mode,” as this feature disables Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, mobile data, and calling networks. With these services disabled, the battery consumes less energy, lasting longer. This can be done in emergencies when the battery is about to run out and you don’t have a way to recharge it at the moment.
