Check out the main updates of the iPhone 15. Enjoy all the features of your phone.
The news surrounding the iPhone 15 doesn't just involve USB-C cables, titanium and new pastel colors. Apple's new smartphone, which went on sale last week in Brazil with prices ranging from R$7,299 to R$13,999, reveals a series of new hidden functions. There are new features for battery, camera and location services.
In Brazil, sales of the iPhone 15 have begun with models already sold out and delivery scheduled for November. In addition, the company updated the operating system last Wednesday to prevent the phone from overheating. Read on and check out some secret features of the iPhone.
Battery
You may not know this, but your iPhone’s charging can be optimized by limiting the battery’s usage to 80% of its capacity during each charge. This is one way to increase the battery’s lifespan. Go to “Settings” and then “Battery”. Then select “Battery status and charging” and select “Optimized charging”. Now you can choose between “Optimized charging” and “80% limit”.
Charging cycle
Now, your iPhone will show you how many times the battery has been fully discharged and recharged. Go to “Settings,” “General,” and “About.” Under the “Battery” section, you can see the date your iPhone was manufactured, the date it was first used, and the number of times it has been charged. In general, some experts say that iPhones can retain up to 80% of battery life after 500 charge cycles.
Precise search
All four iPhone 15 models feature a feature called “Precise Finding.” Open the Find My app, tap the “People” icon at the bottom, and select the person you want to meet. If you’re far away from someone, share your location via text message. This feature is especially useful when searching for someone at an event or on the beach. An arrow on the iPhone screen will point you in the direction of the person until you find them more precisely. This solution is made possible by an ultra-wideband chip that provides visual, haptic, and audible guidance.
Hidden camera
THE new iPhone It has up to 7 “hidden” lenses. To access them, open the camera and select the “Photos” option. For example, in the Pro and Pro Max models, there are initially several zoom options: 0.5X, 1X, 2X, 3X and 5X. But the trick is that if you click on the 1X button, you can choose two other options: 1.2X or 1.5X.
This allows for better image quality and eliminates the need to zoom in with finger movements. You can also automatically program the zoom level of the photo. Just go to “Settings”, “Camera” and “Main Camera”. This way, you can choose the total number of additional lenses you want to leave in the Camera app and which zoom format will be the default.
Memory/Image Format
By default, the iPhone camera takes photos at 24 megapixels (MP) resolution. But if you're running low on memory, go to "Settings", "Camera", "Format" and "Photo Mode". In this case, you can choose a resolution of 12 megapixels (MP), which takes up 2 MB of space.
24 MP photos take up 3 MB of internal memory. Between the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max models, this can even increase, since their photos have a resolution of 48 MP. To do this, go to “Settings”, “Camera” and “Format”. Then, enable the “ProRAW” option. Then there will be two options. In the “High Efficiency” tab, photos with a resolution of 48 MP take up 5 MB of internal memory because they are created in the “HEIF” format. If the option is “Most Compatible”, the same 48 MP photo will take up 10 MB of space because it was created in the “JPEG” format.
Charging the iPhone
Thanks to the USB-C input, the iPhone 15 It can act as a “battery” for other phones and headphones. It is also possible to mirror the iPhone screen on TVs and computers using a USB-C cable.
