Tap-on-Phone technology allows small businesses to turn their Android and iPhone (iOS) smartphones into mobile payment machines, eliminating the need to purchase traditional card machines. Therefore, when paying for a product or service, the customer simply taps their credit or debit card on the back of the merchant's cell phone. The process is easy and the amount is instantly deposited into their account.

Tap to Pay 

THE Tap to Pay Tap to Pay is an Apple feature that enables contactless payments on your iPhone without the need for an additional machine or terminal. The mechanism is simple. Merchants install a Tap to Pay-compatible payment app and ask customers to tap their card or iOS mobile phone or Apple Watch during a transaction.  

This will allow consumers to choose from a variety of payment methods, including credit and debit cards with Apple Pay and NFC technology.   

Tap On  

This is a tool developed by PagBank. It allows you to sell via your cell phone or tablet without using a card machine. To do this, your device must have an Android operating system version 8.1 or higher, or have NFC technology. Sellers must install and register the PagVendas app on their cell phone. During a transaction, the customer must have their card, cell phone or watch nearby to complete the payment, and the payment is confirmed instantly.   

The PagBank tool is valid for purchases paid with credit and debit cards, in cash or in installments. In addition, we accept Visa, Mastercard, Elo and Amex. In addition to being practical, the advantage of this feature is that there are no usage fees. You will only be charged a brokerage fee, which is automatically debited at the time of the transaction. 

Sky Tap 

Cielo Tap is another option to transform your cell phone into a payment device. Cielo's solution is available for Android devices and accepts Visa, Mastercard and Elo. This process is similar to the previous alternative. During a transaction, the cardholder must hold their debit or credit card (or another NFC-enabled device) close to the merchant's smartphone. The cell phone must also be equipped with NFC technology.  

To use Cielo Tap, you must have a cell phone with Android 9 or higher and install the Cielo Gestão app. In addition, the company's monthly revenue must be a maximum of R$10,000. It is also important to note that there are no monthly fees. You will only have to pay transaction fees when using the tool.   

Point Tap 

Point Tap is Mercado Pago’s payment solution available to individuals or legal entities in all types of businesses. To get started, simply download the latest version of the app on your Android smartphone, create an account and select the “Charge with Point Tap” option. Then, install “Point Tap Extension” for free from the Google Play Store. Once the process is complete, simply bring your phone close to the card (or any other device with NFC technology) and the payment will be received and credited to your account instantly.   

NuTap 

NuTap is Nubank's technology for receiving payments via mobile phone, including direct debit, credit card or installment payments. This feature is available on Android smartphones with operating system version 8.1 or later. You will also need a corporate account with the Fintech. Requests can be made on the app's home page and there are no subscription or rental fees. Amounts are calculated only at the time of use. 1.79% for direct debits, 3.59% for cash credit and variable interest for installments, which can reach 12.79%.    

It’s simple and easy to use. The bank must approve the merchant’s registration, and the merchant can receive payments by depositing a credit or debit card on the back of the phone. It’s also worth noting that this process can be done through a digital wallet registered on your cell phone or smartwatch.   

Tap Ton 

Tap Ton is an application available for Android that also aims to turn your cell phone into a small machine. This allows customers to pay conveniently by simply tapping their card on the merchant's smartphone. The tool does not charge a monthly fee and accepts debit transactions with an interest rate of 1.39% and credit transactions with an interest rate of 3.29% on each purchase. In addition to these fees, there is a fixed cost of R$ 0.40 per sale.    

To use it, simply download the app on your phone and create an account on the platform. Then, check if the “Tap To Sell” feature is available in the app. Android requires version 9 or later of the operating system because NFC integration is required. This tool is available for iPhone 7 and newer models, but please note that this platform does not support iOS.
